ご挨拶
こんにちは、ワカイダイスケです。
お待ちしておりました。
GUUMA DESIGNの若井（大輔）です。ウェブデザイナーだと思っている方、フォトグラファーだと思っている方、プログラマーだと思っている方、グラフィックデザイナーだと思っている方。人によって印象が違っていると思い、自分自身でも少し整理するためにこのサイトをリニューアル（再構築）しました。
思えばインターネット黎明期の2000年代はじめ、偶然見つけた旧友のホームページに綴ってある日々の雑記に衝撃を受け、ホームページづくりの面白さ、情報発信の楽しさを知りました。文章も、音楽も、イラストも、写真も、デザインも、なんでも発信できるじゃないか！
当時はバンド活動に明け暮れ、印刷会社の空き時間に、AdobeやMacromediaの使い方を覚えながら、バンドの告知チラシやホームページを作ることに夢中でした。そこで得たスキルは転職先の会社で生かされ、ホームページ制作事業を立ち上げ、通販サイトを作り、マーケティング・プログラミングも身につけていきました。
デザイン、プログラミング、マーケティング、それぞれが繋がっているのが、グーマデザインの強みです。あれから20年近く経ち、今やAIの時代。さらに技術の進化速度は加速しています。最新の動向も追いながら、変わらない軸を大切にしていきたいと思います。
That's one of the reasons I decided to rebuild this website—not only to introduce my work, but also to better define it for myself.
My journey began in the early days of the internet. In the early 2000s, I stumbled upon a personal website created by an old friend. Reading their everyday thoughts online was surprisingly inspiring. It made me realize that a website could be anything: words, music, illustrations, photography, design—an entire world built by one person. I was hooked.
At the time, I was deeply involved in a band. During quiet hours at the printing company where I worked, I taught myself Adobe and Macromedia software, creating flyers and websites to promote our music. Those early experiences became the foundation of my career. Later, I launched a web production business, built e-commerce websites, and expanded my skills into marketing and programming.
Design, development, and marketing are all connected. That intersection is what defines GUUMA DESIGN today. Nearly two decades have passed, and we're now living in the age of AI. I enjoy exploring new tools and embracing innovation, but I also believe that some things shouldn't change. Curiosity. Craftsmanship. And creating work that genuinely helps people.
